Post Election:
In the week since the election the dust has started to settle. I did not win the election. Yet, I have no regrets about running or about keeping the campaign focused on issues.
As a result, McGlashan went on record in speeches and literature about the need to support small business, public safety and “development that fosters residential and business growth” along the Aurora Corridor. I will be watching the votes at the City Council and hope you will do the same.
All elected officials need to be held to a high standard for transparency, and accountability. Transparency in holding open meetings that welcome the public, transparency in finances, accountability in supporting policies that benefit the community and accountability in how they represent the City.
It is this kind of integrity that I hoped to maintain as a Council member, and that I will continue to stand up for as a citizen of Shoreline.
Thank you for all that you do. Together, if we stay engaged in the political process and our volunteer efforts we will make Shoreline an even better place to live and raise a family.
All My Best,
—Wendy
